The fundamental principle of adopting this Code is that all business activities must fully comply with the laws, statutes, and regulations of the countries in which they operate.
Beyond legal compliance, this Code encourages participants to proactively uphold internationally recognized standards to promote social and environmental responsibility as well as business ethics.
The Code is based on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, with provisions derived from key international human rights standards, including the International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The Code consists of five sections:

E. Management System – outlining the essential elements for implementing an effective management system in accordance with this Code.
